As a result of the growth of the RIVM organization, the Ministry of VWS decided that the new building will not have sufficient space to accommodate both CBG and RIVM. Therefore CBG will not move to the new building. RVB (Rijksvastgoedbedrijf) is looking for another location to relocate CBG.

MEET Strukton, the consortium that is developing the new building for RIVM and CBG, recently announced that the construction project is experiencing further delays. MEET Strukton has stated that the new building will be completed in early 2025. As a result, the intended relocation date will be pushed to mid-2025.
